The area where the apartment is located has the advantage that you can either explore to the East and in 15min reach the area of Anjos and Intendente, or you explore to the West and in 10 min reach Marquês do Pombal square and park and Avenida da Liberdade - the most luxury and exclusive avenue in Portugal - and from there the south parishes for which Lisbon is most known for, like Alfama, Chiado, Bairro Alto and Principe Real. All of which you can reach within a 15 walk, or by metro.
Around the apartment you will find a few restaurants and shops, but you only need to walk a little in any direction to be greeted by local traditional shops, un-usual corners, and the quiet and tranquil buzz and sounds of Lisbon.
